Insight

My psychotherapy practice utilizes traditional talk therapy as well as drawing on many other modalities to enhance the therapeutic experience.   For children, adolescents, or adults the creative process  is a less threatening way to work through challenges when struggling to find the right words or experience  overwhelming feelings.  An integrated approach provides a concrete record of the course of therapeutic progress.  The focus is on the process not the product so NO art background is necessary.

Individuals

I believe that a successful therapeutic relationship is founded on a good match between therapist and client. I am honest and authentic and work to develop a trusting, caring and non-judgmental relationship in which exploration can take place. Together, we can investigate and understand your issues and concerns with:
  • self -development
  • Body image issues
  • Stress Management
  • Anxiety and depression
  •  Sexual orientation
  • loss and grief counseling

     Resolve Conflicts
Increase self-esteem
Reduce Anxiety

Families
Family dynamics -- whether a traditional or non-traditional family -- can often be challenging.  Family counseling provides an opportunity for everyone to openly  talk about their thoughts and feelings in a safe environment.
Together, we can work on:
  • Parent-child conflicts
  • Communication
  • Defiant, angry, or isolated teens
  • Grief and issues of loss
  • Transitions after divorce or separation
